I'm proud to be a design team member at Off The Rails Scrapbooking. The current challenge over at the blog http://offtherailsscrapbooking.blogspot.com.au/2014/03/bling-it-up.html is Bling It Up. I loved this challenge because I love bling on my layouts but I especially love creating digital bling. You can bling up almost any paper or embellishment digitally. The trick is to play around with the surface format and brightness/light functions. I created the following layout by doing this and by using some digital glitter paper.
This photo was taken in a restaurant and the background was very busy with unknown people, so I removed the background. Once I isolated the main feature I made it even larger than the picture frame! And, why not? The birthday boy should be larger than life and surrounded with glitter.
This is my first design for Off The Rails Scrapbooking and it was so much fun. I urge all my scrappy friends to check out the challenge because you could win a prize from our sponsor Hobbies from the Heart:

ReplyDeleteLove how you did away with all the strangers in the photo and centered the attention to you guys. Really interesting how you used the bling as well. Thanks so much for sharing this page!
Thanks Jelissa. :)
