Off The Rails Scrapbooking - Using Fabric

Hi All,
Thanks for stopping by.

The current challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking is a beauty - all you have to do is use fabric. I use fabric on some of my layouts but it's usually in the form of flowers (I occasionally even make my own flowers). But this time I wanted to try something completely different so ..... I made a dress. A miniature size dress that is. Here's my design team layout - I hope it inspires you to try something new.

This is my oldest sister and she is 18 years older than I. In the 1950s she regularly went to dances that were quite formal. All the ladies wore gloves and frocks and the men wore dress suits. My sister had many frocks that were made by a dressmaker. So, I thought it only fitting that that I make a frock for my layout.

I also used fabric and paper flowers on the layout. I used rhinestones, pearls and glitz to show the glamour of the era.
I was really pleased with this nostalgic, vintage layout. I hope you like it too.

Come on over to Off The Rails Scrapbooking and join us in the challenge :)
