Once Upon A Sketch May Challenge

Hello again scrappy friends

I was sorry to hear that Nadia the owner of Once Upon A Sketch is stepping down. I love this sketch challenge and I hope it will continue. This is the sketch for May:

I'm happy to do a layout for Nadia's last sketch host. I've done a layout that features Brighton Beach at Port Phillip Bay in Melbourne.

Our youngest son is trying to get his 120 hours of driving time up so he can get his licence. I'm an absolutely hopeless driving instructor so my husband does most of the driving lessons. Now it's Autumn and much darker at night they drive into and around the CBD or along one of the freeways. In summer though they always drove down Beach Road, stopped at the beach, took photos and enjoyed the weather and the scenery. They always set out for a one hour driving lesson that ended up taking anywhere from an hour and a half to two hours. Here is a layout with one of the photos they took during one of their drives in summer.

The photo was taken with an iPhone and is perhaps not the best quality but, to me, it represents our lifestyle, our neighbourhood and our family life ....that's why I decided to use it.

I hope you like my blog post and thanks for dropping by. :)

P.S. My apologies if you are trying to leave comments on this post, for some reason Blogger may not let you. I keep having this problem intermittently and I'm working on it :)

  2. That for me is what scrapping is all about. Capturing the memories of day to day life. Not scrapping the prettiest or best photos so this layout for me is very special. I love the moody background that you created. It is perfect for the photo. Lovely. Thanks for playing along with us at OUAS this month.
