I'm having a quiet, cool afternoon/evening inside my air-conditioned hotel today. Vietnam is such an interesting place and I'm so enjoying this holiday, but the heat and humidity has finally gotten to me and I'm taking a break to do some scrapbooking. Besides, thunderstorms are predicted for tonight. I wonder what a Hanoi thunderstorm is like?
Anyway, my inspiration for the page is the current challenge at Kraft Plus Challenge Blog.
I decided to scrapbook a couple of holiday snaps of Hanoi. One is a daytime shot at a beautiful lake garden, the other is a street near the hotel at night. Here is the page I came up with.
I tried to make the zentangle pattern mimic the branch of the tree in the top photo. I found zentangle a perfect inspiration for scrapping pics of Vietnam. Zentangle patterns can be very intricate, complicated and busy - just like Vietnam which is such a vibrant place.
Thank you for visiting my blog. Cheers :)
