Today I'm playing along with Inkido at http://inkido.blogspot.no/2014/01/january-challenge-by-agnieszka-bellaidea.html. I used their gorgeous Scandinavian Style mood board to inspire my layout where I have scrapbooked a couple of old photos of Stockholm.
I didn't really stick to the colour scheme of the mood board but decided to use the Swedish colours of yellow and blue as the predominant theme. The photos don't show the true colours very well unfortunately - for some reason the yellow kept coming out more orange in the photos. Never mind, you get the picture. I did some fussy cutting of a flower motive that reminded me of traditional Scandinavian embroidery. I also used a Scandinavian design stamp to make the heart and bird embellishments. Here is my layout.
In this next picture you can see the Scandinavian design of the heart and bird.
And here are a few more close ups, starting with the torn, gilded edges of the photo mats.
The following pictures show more of the embellishments which include painted and decorated wooden stars, flowers, pearls, bling and ribbon.
Thank you for stopping by.
