Hello again. I just finished a layout that was inspired by ARTastic's February Challenge. The artwork inspiration is Pretender by Joshua Miels and the challenge is to use paint and ink. You can see the challenge over at ARTastic on http://artasticchallengeblog.blogspot.com.au/2014/02/our-mid-month-reveal-and-january.html.
I love this piece of art but boy was it hard to use as an inspiration. I decided to use the colours for my background (and black, red and blue together are not normally my colours), plus I used the messy strokes on my background which is not my usual style. I really did find it challenging ..... and that's the whole point, to move me out of my comfort zone. Anyway, after what seemed like an eternity, I finally created something I'm happy with. Hope you like it too.
Thanks for stopping by.
