ARTastic November Challenge - Doodling

The challenge this month over at ARTastic Challenge Blog is doodling and the inspiration is a beautiful, quirky piece of artwork "Tra-la-la" by Antje Collis.
Antje was born in Hamburg, Germany. She migrated to Australia with her parents when she was a baby and grew up in rural Western Australia, spending her school years in Geraldton and Morawa. She is a mainly self taught artist.Antje aims to keep her style simple and uncluttered with her philosophy being that it is often more about what you don’t include that makes a painting appealing. She has used her imagination and flair to develop a fresh and individual style that includes a variety of subjects and mediums. Antje works with many media, including watercolour, acrylic and other water based mediums and often mixes these mediums in her paintings.

I love Antje's chooks, especially the ballet dancers - they are very cute. We don't have chickens but our garden is always full of cute birds such as Rainbow Lorikeets, Galahs and Wattle Birds. In the warm weather we are visited by ducks who like to swim and laze around our pool all day. I recently took a couple of photos of the cute pair, so I decided to use those photos for this layout.
As well as the cute birds, I incorporated doodling on my layout in the form of butterflies, clouds and birds. I also used a doodle style heading and added my journaling around the edge of the page like doodling.

Would love to see all my scrapbooking friends join in the challenge at ARTastic.

Thank you for dropping by. :)

  1. Great pics of your visitors :) You have such gorgeous handwriting (and I am a fan of border journalling) AND I love your doodled title!

    1. Thank you Karen. I wish my handwriting was this good but it's actually a font called "Cuttlebugs". :)
