Pixels and Paper - December Challenge

Hello All
I hope you are all enjoying the festive season.
I haven't posted for a while and I thought it was about time I entered one of my layouts in a challenge. I was particularly attracted to this month's challenge over at Pixels and Paper Challenge Blog. I just love this inspirational picture.
The swirly Northern Lights are beautiful. As soon as I saw the image I thought of a trip I did many years ago to Po Lin Monastery on Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The monastery was at the top of a misty mountain and I felt like I was walking in the clouds and, in a way, I was. The atmosphere was very mystical, just like the mystical Northern Lights in the above picture. This is what it inspired me to create:
Because of the subject of my layout I created an Asian inspired page. However, I kept the main background fairly plain by just creating wispy clouds to remind me of the mystical atmosphere once again.
As always, thank you so much for stopping by and have a wonderful New Year.
