Off The Rails Scrapbooking - January Challenge

 

I'm back again with my Design Team layout for Off The Rails Scrapbooking Blog. The inspirational mood board for January is bright and summery.

 

I love the simple colour scheme and the beachy photos. This inspired me to do a layout of a beautiful beach in the Maldives where we went some years ago. It was a lovely, relaxing family holiday. This is what I came up with:

 

 

I stuck to the simple colour palette so that I could highlight the photo. I framed the photo in clusters of flowers to accentuate it even more. I used a glitter effect on the background to represent the shiny sun and glistening sand. The rest of the embellishments are typical beach elements
